Employment Verification

Why this exists

Team members frequently need to verify their employment and income with Greens — for example, when applying for a mortgage, leasing an apartment, financing a vehicle, or applying for government benefits. To protect employee privacy, ensure accuracy, and provide a fast, consistent response to these requests, Greens uses an authorized third-party verification service rather than handling requests manually. This SOP explains how current and former team members, as well as authorized verifiers, can complete an employment or income verification.

Who does what

Steps

  1. Direct the verifier to The Work Number. Whenever a team member needs proof of employment or income, instruct the requesting party (lender, landlord, agency, etc.) to use Equifax's The Work Number — Greens' authorized automated verification service.
  2. Provide the Greens Employer Code. When prompted by The Work Number, the verifier should enter Employer Code 110422. This routes the request to Greens' records.
  3. Team member authorization (income verifications only). Basic employment verifications (job title, dates of employment) can be completed without team member action. To release income information, the team member must generate a one-time salary key through The Work Number and provide it to the verifier.
  4. Reference the ADP flyer for additional guidance. For step-by-step screenshots and additional details, see the ADP Employment Verification Flyer.
  5. Escalate exceptions to HR. If a verifier reports they cannot complete the request through The Work Number, refer them to the Human Resources Manager at the property for assistance.
